I love music that has some sophistication : Latin Jazz Fusion (especially Brazilian), World music, instrumental, classical guitar and other light classical, especially French classics.
I don't like Pop, Rock, or any kind of commercial radio, although I do enjoy Pop / Jazz fusion bands like Steely Dan. Lately I have been listening to a lot of Italian film music.
I read a LOT....but not much fiction (though when I do, it's usually classical or science fantasy). Mostly about the human mind, Buddhism (Zen in particular), travel, medicine, science & technology, the environment, personal growth, social justice and so on...
